Tip 24 - Error Codes Hier zijn ze dan, de error codes van FileMaker (met FileMaker Copyright). Meestal krijgen we ze niet te zien. Het nuttigst zijn ze echter wanneer we ze in een script verwerken. De 401 bijv. kunnen we gebruiken in een script met een zoekopdracht (bijv. het automatisch opsporen van openstaande facturen). Indien zo'n facturen gevonden worden, dan kunnen we dat aankondigen met een dialoogpaneel en de facturen bijvoorbeeld tonen in lijstvorm. Wanneer niets gevonden wordt (en dat geeft dan error code 401), dan kunnen we ook een message genereren om dit mee te delen (via de twee scriptstappen If(StatusCurrentError) = 401 en Show Message). Ook 508 is interessant in scripts die de gebruiker toelaten iets te zoeken op basis van eigen ingave (bijv. een datum, wanneer die datum niet in het correcte formaat werd opgevraagd). -1 Unknown error 0 No error 1 User canceled action 2 Memory error 3 Command is unavailable (for example, wrong operating system, wrong mode, etc.) 4 Command is unknown 5 Command is invalid (for example, a Set Field script step does not have a calculation specified) 100 File is missing 101 Record is missing 102 Field is missing 103 Relationship is missing 104 Script is missing 105 Layout is missing 200 Record access is denied 201 Field cannot be modified 202 Field access is denied 203 No records in file to print or password doesn't allow print access 204 No access to field(s) in sort order 205 Cannot create new records;
